This paperboy style hat is a great alternative to the beanie. I have used an owl appliqué but you could make it plain or use an alternative applique.

Requires two small brass buttons for the hat.

Requires 1 x100g ball of dk yarn for the hat amd scarf and some scraps of dk yarn for the appliqué
