Surprise any mom-to-be with the super cute, and very cuddly owl lovey. This pattern only uses basic stitches, and has lots of pictures to help beginners.

Size
Blanket – 16” (41 cm) square
Owl – 5” (13 cm) by 4” (10 cm)

Materials
light worsted/dk yarn (#3) – I used Lion Brand Big Scoop in Mint (90
grams, less than 1/3 of the ball), and Loops and Threads
Snuggly Wuggly in white and some scraps of yellow and black
3.5 mm (E/4) hook for the blanket
3.0 mm hook (C or D) for the owl
small amount of polyfil
tapestry needle
scissors
stitch marker

Abbreviations – US crochet terms
ch – chain
sl. st. - slip stitch
sc – single crochet
sc inc – single crochet increase – work 2 sc into same st
hdc – half double crochet
hdc inc – half double crochet increase – work 2 hdc into same st
dc – double crochet
mc – magic circle
dc cl – 3 dc worked into same space
