Owl Mittens are knit in the round from the bottom-up and include shaped thumb gussets and Latvian braids.

Pattern can be worked with a long circular needle and Magic Loop or with double-pointed needles.

Mittens use approximately equal amounts of Main Color and Contrasting Color.

Size is dependent on gauge. Select size, knit a swatch in stranded pattern, and choose needle size accordingly.

• Gauge: Small: 9 stitches and 9 rows = 1 inch; Med/Large: 8 stitches and 8 rows = 1 inch
• Circumference: Small: 7.75 inches; Med/Large: 8.75 inches
• Length from wrist (beginning of thumb gusset) to top: Small: 7.3 inches:
  Med/Large: 8.25 inches
• Total length: Small: 10 inches; Med/Large: 11 inches
• Suggested Needle Size: Small: US 1. 5 / 2.5mm; Med/Large: US 2 / 2.75 mm
