This pattern uses:

• 2 skeins of Morehouse Merino 2-ply, sport weight, a smooth yarn that really shows off the stitches and pattern well.

  A recommended combo is 1 skein Natural Brown Heather; 1 skein Varigated Black&White.

a little bit of extra yarn for the beak

Set of double-pointed #4 or #5 (size to obtain correct gauge)

5 stitches = 1 inch over garter stitch (stitches are tight for extra warmth)
