Supplies:
• Main color (fingering weight, 70 yards)
• White yarn (for eyes, 10 yards)
• Black yarn (for eyelids, 1 yard)
• Orange or Yellow yarn (for beak, 9 yards)
• 2.75 mm crochet hook
• Stuffing
• Needle for sewing in ends and embroidery

I wrote up this pattern to be a quick little gift for babies or small children. It is made with no plastic pieces for a baby to swallow, and no parts that could be easily pulled off by little baby hands! Just make sure to sew on the eyes very well, and embroider the beak quite tightly! You can easily change the size of the owl, by either adding more repeats or using a heavier weight yarn. Please note that if you do use a heavier yarn, you will need to adjust the hook size and yardage requirements.
