I designed this little owl rug for my son’s play area. ♥ It’s a fun project inspired by freeform crochet that uses a variety of stitches (ch, sc, hdc, dr, htr, tr, htr cluster, v st, tr v st, increasing, decreasing, sl st) and some parts are worked in rows and joined rounds.

You will need:

♥ Worsted weight yarn, held doubled (or use bulky weight yarn)
♥ I/5.5mm hook (OR larger hook size, it’s important to use a large enough hook size for your yarn/tension.)
♥ Yarn needle

Note: These are my pattern notes. I only made this once and I didn’t keep track of all the stitch counts. The pattern hasn’t been tested yet.
