These cute owl fingerless mittens can be made in an evening with a 50g ball of worsted weight yarn. A great way to use up those spare / odd balls in your stash. Great as a Christmas gift!

You will require beginner or intermediate knitting techniques such as knit, purl, cabling and knitting in the round. You will also need to make a thumb gusset.

Tools required:

  • Approximately 100m / 110 yards of worsted weight yarn (1 50g worsted weight yarn is sufficient)
  • 3.75mm and 4mm (5 & 6 US size) double pointed needles
  • Four matching buttons
  • Cable needle (if required) and stitch holders
