This little oystercatcher is knitted flat and seamed. The pattern uses the Intarsia technique for the colour work sections which is laid out in a straightforward and easy to follow way.

30m (33yd) of black yarn
5m (5 1/2yd) of orange yarn
Two black 5mm (1/5in) safety eyes
2cm (4/5in) square of orange felt
Toy filling

Finished size: 14cm (5 1/2in) from top of head to tail
