I decided to design this Frenchie dog sweater when a friend told me how hard it was to find sweaters to fit her girl’s unique body shape. Frenchies are curvy, there is no denying it! So this sweater is worked up in 1x1 ribbing to give the garment stretch where it needs it, wherever it needs it!

The body of the seater is worked flat, then the buttonhole edging is worked next. The leg holes are steeked, and finally the collar is added!

As quick and simple as this sweater is, I would call it Intermediate Level simply because of the steeking element and stretchy bind off. If you’ve never steeked before however, do not fear, I have a step by step photo tutorial to help you along!
