Knit our Pinafore Dress suitable to fit a baby/child from 6 months to 3 years old.

Design:
The dress has a flower pattern to the skirt and moss stitch edgings. The front and back are knitted separately and sewn together at the sides. Two buttons are stitched on to the front straps.

Sizes:
The pattern includes 5 sizes to fit a child: 6m, 12m, 18m, 2yrs and 3 years old.

Yarn:
The pattern uses 4 ply wool (an alternative yarn for overseas knitters would be USA Sport or Australian 5 ply).

The picture shows the outfit knitted for size 2 years using King Cole Big Value Baby 4 Ply in shade Cappuccino (3262).

Skill:
Intermediate. Written instructions provided. A chart is provided to follow for the flower motif.

Tension:
28 sts and 36 rows to 4 inches/10 cm (stocking stitch) on 3.25 mm needles or size needed to achieve stated tension.

Needles:
Sizes 2.75 mm and 3.25 mm (USA 2 and 3) straight needles are required.

Other requirements:
2 buttons
Stitch markers
