Materials:

• Japanese size 7 knitting needles (4.2mm)
• Japanese size 4/0 crochet hook (2.5mm)
• one piece of felt (3mm thick), approx. 20x23cm (see p.52 for a template for cutting out the sole from the piece of felt)
• 2 buttons (1.7cm)

Gauge: in both pattern stitch 1 and 2, 18 st should be 7 cm, and 26 rows should be 10cm.
