Children’s Sundress Knitting Pattern to fit from 6-24 months old
Knitted using cotton DK wool (but can be substituted for any double knitting wool)
Pattern is written in English

Knit our Sundress to fit a baby/child from 6-24 months old.

Design:
The Sun Dress has a frilled hemline, a lacy skirt pattern and a crochet edge around the armholes and neckline. The front and back are knitted separately on straight needles and the sides sewn together. Buttons are added to the front to fasten the dress to the straps.

Sizes:
The pattern gives instructions for 4 different sizes: 6m, 12m, 18m and 24 months old.

Yarn:
The pattern uses cotton double knitting wool (an alternative for overseas knitters would be USA light worsted or Australian 8 ply), but you can substitute for any DK wool.
The picture shows the 24-month-old size knitted using Sirdar Cotton DK in shade 0507 (Sundance) and Rico Cotton DK in shade 018 (White). You will need 2 (2, 3, 3) x 100 gram balls of Sundance and 1 x 50 gram ball of White for all sizes.

Skill:
Intermediate. Written instructions.

Tension:
22 sts and 30 rows to 4 inches/10 cm (stocking stitch) on 4 mm needles or size needed to achieve stated tension.

Needles:
Sizes 3.25 mm and 4.0 mm (USA 3 and 6) straight needles are required.

Other requirements:
1 x 3.25 mm crochet hook (USA size D/3)
4 buttons
