This is a knitted version of an animal muffler/ stole: think 1920’s fox stoles complete with legs, face and a tail. Except this is a halloween design for a child, so it is a black cat, whose paws wrap over the chest, wearing a stripy jumper. And friendly.

The head and legs are crocheted in the round, the body picked up and knitted with reverse st.st. welts in three colours. Body is 35 cm, head 7.5 cm in length. Body width 9cm (18cm in circumference). Needs 40g of black worsted weight, rest is oddments.
