Children’s Sundress Knitting Pattern to fit from 6-24 months old

Knit our Pinafore Dress by suitable to fit a baby/toddler from 6 months to 2 years old.

Design
The sundress has a wavy repeat pattern for the skirt and the yoke is completed in stocking stitch and garter stitch. The front and back are knitted separately on straight needles and the sides sewn together. Four buttons are stitched on to the front.

Sizes
The pattern includes 4 sizes to fit a child: 6m, 12m, 18m and 24 months old.

Yarn
The pattern uses double-knitting wool. An alternative would be USA light worsted or Australian 8 ply for international knitters.
The picture shows the 24 month old size knitted using Rico Baby Classic DK in shades Ice Blue (023) and White (001).

Skill
Intermediate. Written instructions.

Tension
22 sts and 30 rows to 10 cm (stocking stitch) on 4 mm needles or size needed to achieve stated tension.

Needles
Size 3.25mm and 4mm (USA sizes 3 and 6) needles are required.

Other requirements
4 buttons
