This Tee Shirt is inspired by the Pacific Ocean bordering Eastern New Zealand. The fingering-weight yarn is a blend of alpaca, linen and silk - a soothing balm for sun-drenched skin with fibres perfect for drape and lace. The front features a section of lace below the front neckline, while the back sports an all-over lace design.

Different options include sleeveless or short-sleeve, and cropped or longer versions.

The garment is designed to be worn with 10-20 cm /4 to 8 inches of positive ease. The sample pictured is worn with 10cm / 4 inches of positive ease (Size 3).

Construction Notes:
Starting with a provisional cast-on, the front lace panel is knitted bottom-up followed by the right front then right back shoulder, using German short rows for shoulder shaping. The left front and left back shoulder are then knitted. Once shoulders have been completed for the back, the lace design begins and the back is knitted down to the armhole. Front stitches are picked up from the provisional cast on and the front body knitted down to the armholes at which point the garment is knitted top-down in the round. Stitches are picked up and knitted to form narrow neck band and sleeves.

25 st and 34 rows = 10cm / 4 inches in st st using larger needle
