Named for the Pacific Rim movie, the Pacific Rim Cowl & Scarf pattern was designed to represent connectivity. The movie is built on the idea that the only hope for the future is connecting with others. It showcases the importance of empathy and joining with others. The pattern was designed with these themes in mind and features two side panels that are connected by a column of textured stitches.

The Pacific Rim Cowl & Scarf is worked flat in one seamless piece. The pattern includes specifics for making a scarf or a cowl with one skein of Gytha Worsted, but it is also fully adjustable. There are instructions for making the side panels narrower or wider, and the pattern can be worked to any length. Plus, there are no designated buttonholes, which means the buttons can be placed wherever you’d like or even moved to create a totally new look.
