Pacifica
Pacifica ~ a summer inspired tunic sweater especially designed for the Kidz n’ Cats ® girls like my model Lena.
This pattern also offers an opportunity to work new stitch techniques paired with a textured stitch-work all packaged into a stylish tunic sweater, suitable for late evening summer breezes after a sun soaked day.
Construction: Worked flat; back and forth in rows. Front and back each worked the same in one piece bottom up to neckline, with shoulder fastening closure for ease of dressing. Drop short length sleeves created from picked up stitches and worked top down, then seamed along with sides of sweater that features side vents
Pattern Features:
The main body features a textured stitch pattern throughout flanked with an easy to achieve dropped stitch, that is also worked on each sleeve which feature a unique picot cast off edge. Slip stitch ribbing worked on shoulder panels and welt, with optional button decoration added on side vents
Yarn Equivalent: 8ply UK, NZ, AU
Materials Used: Caron Simply Soft Light ™ solids in Capri colorway
Notions: 4 Buttons size ½” (12mm), plus 2 additional buttons for optional decoration on side vents of welt. Darning Needle, 4 Markers or scraps of yarn
