Named for one of my favorite California beach towns, Pacifica is a swoopy two-color brioche cowl whose curved lines form ripples and waves that bring me right back to my favorite ocean overlook.

Level: Advanced - Pacifica is brioche knit sideways then grafted together for a seamless finish. The pattern includes written and photo tutorials for the brioche provisional cast-on, and for seamlessly grafting live two-color brioche stitches together, though it is possible to more simply substitute a 3-needle bind-off. The pattern also includes both written and charted instructions for knitting the cowl.

Yarn: Malabrigo Rios (100% superwash merino; 210 yds 192 m/100 g): Color #687 Aquamarine
(LC), 1 (1, 2) balls/skeins, Color #150 Azul Profundo (DC), 1 (1, 2) skeins.

Needle/Hook: Size US 7 (4.0 mm) needles, 16” (60cm) circulars
