The Pacifica Beanie is a crochet pattern for a beanie for men.
The hat is quick to make. It calls for worsted weight yarn. The sample hat uses KnitPicks/WeCrochet Brava Tweed.
The pattern includes written instructions using standard United States crochet terminology. It has been tech-edited and tested.
SIZING AND GAUGE
Size: One Size Adult Large
Finished Measurements: 17” in circumference at brim and 9” tall with 2” brim folded up.
Gauge: 16 sts and 8 rows = 4” in pattern of alternating rows of hdc blo and dc blo for body of hat.
CROCHET SUPPLIES NEEDED
Yarn: Worsted Weight (#4 Medium) in color of choice. Approximately 200 yards.
Shown: KnitPicks/WeCrochet Brava Tweed Worsted (97% premium acrylic, 3% viscose), 218 yd 200 m / 3.5 oz 100 g: #641427 (Mink), approximately 1 skein.
Crochet Hook Size: Size H/8 (5.00 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge.
Notions: Tapestry needle, tape measure.
STITCH KEY
ch = chain
dc = double crochet
dc blo = double crochet back loop only
hdc blo = half double crochet back loop only
st(s) = stitch(es)
rep = repeat
HAT CONSTRUCTION
Hat is crocheted as a flat rectangle of ribbing. Then the rectangle is seamed together to make a tube. Then the top of the hat is closed, and the brim can be turned up.
