Pádraig Mosaic Cowl
You don’t need the luck of the Irish to pull off this charming colorwork cowl! From the Irish form of the name “Patrick”, the Pádraig cowl uses the magic of mosaic knitting to create this playful shamrock motif. Green and orange bands frame a bright white stripe of Irish Moss Stitch for added texture. The final effect invokes the flag of the Republic of Ireland with flair. You’ll never get caught not wearing green again!
Notes on mosaic knitting/reading a mosaic chart:
Mosaic knitting uses only one color per row (or, in this case, round) and only two stitches: knits and slips. Mosaic designs are typically knitted flat, but this one has been adapted for knitting in the round to make the cowl seamless. Modified instructions for reading the chart are included.
