This light-weight, breezy, and elegant summer top was inspired by, and named for, a weekend getaway to Pagosa Springs, Colorado. Pagosa Springs is home to the deepest hot springs in the world. The scenery is breathtaking; where roses grow wild along the banks of the Juniata River, blooming in abundance all summer long.

The construction is basic: a drop-shoulder top (no armhole shaping) with short-row shaping at the front & back shoulders, for a better fit at the yoke. The top is hemmed at the bottom, sleeve openings, and along the round neckline. Seven inches/18cm of positive ease is suggested, though the maker has the option to change the amount of ease of their top in their project details view.

Meadow from the Fibre Co, a light fingering/heavy lace weight (size 1)yarn was used with size 2 needles in the sample shown. The fine texture of this linen-blend yarn will keep you cool and elegant all summer long.

Please note that with this pattern, yarn substitutions may not produce the desired look or feel in your finished project.

Construction:

Worked in the round from the bottom up to the arm openings,
Divide for front and back, then working front and back separately.
At the neckline, the center sts are bound off, then the right side of the neckline is worked to shoulders.
The shoulders and back are shaped using shortrows for better fit.
The left neckline mirrors the right.

Suggested Yarn: Meadow by the Fibre Co in two colors.  Kits available at https://kindredknits.com/collections/summer-tee-kits.

Gauge/Needles: depends on the fabric drape.  Add your own yarn (if different), and gauge measurements to your project.  Note that if your gauge while working the sweater is different than your swatch, you may enter the new gauge at any time and your instructions will be updated to reflect the new numbers. (It happens!).

My gauge was approximately 9 sts/inch on US size 2 needles.

Actual Yardage will vary based on your measurements.
