Paint Brush Mittens
TECHNIQUES
These mittens are bottom up with a cabled cuff, thumb gusset, and 1 colorwork chart. There are two options to finish the mittens – either closed or open.
SIZING
The mitten pattern is written for 1 size. Additional sizes can be achieved by going up or down a needle size or using different yarn weights (such as sport weight).
MATERIALS
Yarn: 3 or 4 colors of fingering weight (4 ply) yarn. Sample is shown in Knit Picks Stroll. Exact yarn usage for mittens will depend on size and length of hand.
MC (Pearlescent): 50g; CC1 (Serene): 20g; CC2 (Patina): 10g; CC3 (Dandelion): 10g
Needles: Size 1 knitting needles. Alternatively, use needle size required to achieve mitten fit preference. Needle style may be double pointed needles, 24” circular needle, or 9” circular needle, as preferred.
