Errata
Rnds 2-11 should read:
With MC, (P2, K2) seven times, P2, KWS twice; rep from five more times.

This is the perfect pattern for those who could spend hours contemplating those strips of paint colors that morph from one shade into another. Pair a gradient with a pop of contrast for a cozy cowl. The knitting is simple, but the slowly evolving color changes beg for “just one more section.”

While the Chroma gradient does most of the heavy lifting in this pattern, the contrasting lines set it apart. Vertical stranding is simple to execute, but the knitter may find it helpful to work a small swatch with strands to make sure they are maintaining tension across the strands and the rest of the work.
