Painted Desert Lapghan
This pattern was designed especially for Project Legacy Shawls. We began with just shawls and have expanded our charity work to include lapghans.
The size given in the directions is a small size meant to lay over a patient for warmth or to be used as a lap robe for those who use wheelchairs.
The lapghan has a top and bottom border as well as garter stitch borders on both sides. The central portion is a 30 row repeat so the length can easily be adjusted. The picture shows it as 35” long x 37” wide. The width can be adjusted but would require some math.
I doubled the Universal Yarn Offbeat so that it approximated a bulky yarn. The striping effect is solely the result of the yarn. I did not manipulate the yarn in any way.
