Loom Knit Beret, Cap, Hat Pattern

Pattern Description

This is a classic painters beret with a seed stitch border/band. It is shown unblocked but it can be blocked with a plate for the traditional French painter look. It is knit sideways to achieve the classic beret look (wider in the center).

Level

Confident Beginner+. Skills needed; knit, purl, wrap and turn. (video links are included for skills used in this pattern. Note: Pattern is not videotaped).

Loom

½” peg spacing loom with at least 45 pegs. Hat is knit flat, a round or straight loom is fine (CinDWood or equivalent).
