This cute, little cardigan features an interesting and beautiful stitch-pattern. I loved working on it, it was so nice to see it grow.
When my daughter and I visited beautiful Lisboa in May I had brought this project along and every morning before breakfast I knit a few rows. The pattern may look intriguing, but in fact it is very simple and quite intuitive.

Construction.
The body of the cardigan is worked bottom-up, the sleeves are worked top-down from picked-up sts around the armholes.
The i-cord edge/buttonband is worked in one piece along the fronts and neckline. The cardigan is completely seamless.

Sizes
Size 3 months: 41 cm/16”
Size 6 months: 46.5 cm/18.25”
Size 1 year: 52 cm/20.5”
Size 18 months – 24 months: 58 cm/23”
Size 2 – 3 years: 64 cm/25”.

Materials
Yarn: I recommend that you use a sport weight (or fingering weight) yarn with great stitch-definition. I used the sport weight yarn, ”Aubrey Sport,” in the colour “Pearl”, from Martins Lab to work the cardigan. This yarn comes in skeins of 100 gr/3.53 oz and 300 meters/328 yards. Of this specific yarn you will need 300/350/400/450/550 m = 330/385/440/490/600 yards.
Yardage may vary from knitter to knitter and from yarn to yarn. Needles: Choose needle size to obtain gauge. I used needle size 2.5 mm/US1.5, this is a suggestion only.
