Paisley Beanie and Fingerless Gloves
This tested set consists of a beanie and a pair of fingerless mitts. List of testers is found below the notes.
The beanie
The beanie is worked bottom-up and in-the-round.
Worked at gauge the circumference is 50 cm/20”,
the height is 21 cm/8.25”.
You will need approximately 130 m/142 yards of a DK weight yarn to work the beanie.
The sample is worked in Tibetan DK by Martin’s Lab, in the colour-way “Jaded”.
Needle size: 3 mm/US2.5 for the brim, 3.5 mm/US 4 for the main-hat.
The fingerless mitts
The fingerless mitts are worked bottom-up and in-the-round.
There are 2 sizes to choose from:
Circumference 17.25/19 cm = 6.75/7.5”, above the thumb.
You will need approximately 130/140 m/142 = 153 yards to work the pair of mitts.
The sample is worked in Tibetan DK by Martin’s Lab, in the colour-way “Jaded”.
Needle size: 3 mm/US2.5 for the cuffs, 3.5 mm/US 4 for the main glove.
The pattern
The Paisley pattern of the beanie and gloves is charted.
The entire shaping of the crown is charted.
All measurements are given in cm’s as well as in inches.
The pattern is tested.
