Pajama Day

This fun and easy-to-knit (but not boring) shawl is fast and easy to accomplish in a few lazy days, when you have time to relax and knit…you know…”pajama days”. With this in mind, I decided that “Pajama Day” was a great name for it. I designed this as a crescent shawl using two different colors. One for the body, and another for the border, which incorporates the Baby Cable Stitch, a cable which you make without using a cable needle.

Materials:
Square Roots Socktwist Kettle-dyed by Suellen Holmes (50 g, 230 yd, 213 m, 80% superwash merino wool /20% Polyamide ~ Fingering Weight), 2 skeins, each in a different color. Choose the color you would like to become the body of your shawl. This will be called Color 1. Color 2 will become the border of your shawl and will be used both in the Intermission Section and in Section Two.

Size 6 (4 mm) circular needles, 24 or 32” cable, No gauge swatch is necessary, but if you know you are a usually a tight knitter, I would recommend using Size 7 (4.5 mm) needles instead.

1 locking (safety pin style) marker to mark right side, and 2 Ring Stitch Markers (optional)
