About the design

Let them eat cake! shouted the Austrian Archduchess Marie Antoinette from her palace, while the French people shouted for bread. Despite the tragedy that time meant for the French, Marie Antoinette leaves us with a curious and attractive character, whose figure is portrayed in the film of the same name by Sofia Coppola, whose aesthetic inspired me to design this sweater. This garment seeks to be fun and colorful, like a tea party, with touches of elegance in its rounded and baroque figures, like the intricate gates of a palace that separate one reality from the other.

Sizes: 1, 2, 3, (4, 5, 6) 7, 8, 9 , equivalent to 77, 86, 94 (111, 128, 145) 162, 179, 196 cm of bust circumference (finished measurements) with 5 - 10 cm of positive ease.

Gauge: 27 sts & 35 rows = 10 cm, Measured over stockinette stitch on 3.5 mm needles, after blocking.

MC: About 900, 1000, 1100 (1300, 1550, 1780) 2000, 2230, 2400 meters of fingering weight yarn
CC1: (brown) About 120, 160, 200 (240, 280, 320) 380, 420, 480 meters of fingering weight yarn.
CC2: (pink) About 100, 140, 180 (220, 260, 300) 360, 400, 420 meters of fingering weight yarn.

Needles:
3.5 mm circular needles (or the required needle size to obtain gauge), with a cable of 80 cm for the body.
3.5 mm DPNs or short circular needles or circular needles with a cable length appropriate for magic loop for sleeves and the beginning of yoke.
3.0 mm needles with a cable of 80 cm for hem.
3.0 mm DPNs or short circular needles or circular needles with a cable length appropriate for magic loop. for the neckband and cuffs.

Notions: stitch markers (optional), tapestry needle, block mats and pins.

Sobre el diseño

¡Déjenlos comer pastel! gritaba la archiduquesa austríaca María Antonieta desde su palacio, mientras el pueblo francés gritaba por pan. A pesar de la tragedia que supuso esta época para los franceses, María Antonieta nos deja un personaje curioso y atractivo, cuya figura es retratada en la película del mismo nombre de Sofia Coppola, cuya estética me inspiró para diseñar este sweater. Esta prenda busca ser divertida y colorida, como una fiesta de té, con toques de elegancia en sus figuras redondeadas y barrocas, como las intrincadas puertas de un palacio que separan una realidad de otra.

Tallas: 1, 2, 3, (4, 5, 6) 7, 8, 9 , equivalente a 77, 86, 94 (111, 128, 145) 162, 179, 196 cm de circunferencia de pecho (medidas finales) con 5 - 10 cm de holgura positiva.

Muestra: 27 p & 35 vtas = 10 cm, medido en punto jersey con agujas de 3.5 mm, luego de ser bloqueado.

Agujas:
Agujas circulares de 3.5 mm (o el tamaño de aguja necesario para lograr la muestra), con un cable de 80 cm para el cuerpo.

Otros materiales: marcadores de punto (opcional), aguja de lana, mats y alfileres de bloqueo.
