PALACIO is a lush sweater with plenty of my favorite knitting elements, from cables and texture to colorwork, and a generous fit for good measure. This makes for very interesting knitting, yet never difficult, and the resulting garment is incredibly squishy and comfortable.

CONSTRUCTION

The sweater is worked seamlessly from the top down.
Starting with the back neck cast-on, the back is shaped with increases, then worked straight to the armholes and put on hold. Stitches are picked up from the back shoulder edges, worked to shape the neckline then joined at the front. The front is worked to the armholes and joined to the back. The lower body is worked in the round to the hem after completing a lateral cable band.
Neckband and sleeves are picked up and worked in the round.
