These are toe up socks made in two contrasting colours, with a mosaic pattern section around the ankle. Mosaic knitting is just like knitting stripes as it’s a form of slipped stitch knitting. As they are made from two colours for the ladies sizes you only need 50g of each making it a great way to use up unfinished skeins.
The heel is an afterthought heel, but you can substitute you favourite heel choice quite easily.
They are designed with negative ease for a snug fit and an afterthought heel (photo tutorial on picking up the stitches) but your favourite toe-up heel can be substituted.

Suitable for adventurous beginners, intermediates and experts alike.
Yarn:
Two very contrasting colours works best. One can be semisolid or variegated as long as the other skein contrasts well with all colours.
I used Tosh sock colour mandala/silver fox
Women’s socks:
Sock weight yarn. MC: 50g, CC: 50g.
Men’s socks, or wide feet:
Use a thicker yarn such as a Madelinetosh sport. MC: 75g yarn. CC: 75g yarn.
