Palenque is a classic top-down shawl knit in one piece. Patterning on the right side rows only, wrong side rows are purled. Yarn requirements: 500-800 yards of fingering weight yarn. Light fingering or lace weight yarn can also be used. Gauge is not crucial, use appropriate sized needles to obtain the desired lace effect.
