CONSTRUCTION
This v-neck sweater is worked in different-coloured pieces and seamed together. Each colour block is knitted sideways from side to centre. You will start by casting on the side stitches for one of the front colour block pieces. Larger sizes have additional shaping at underarm to maintain a cap-sleeve design that is consistent with smaller sizes.
The shoulders are shaped by increasing stitches at intervals after which the neck is shaped with decreases as you work towards the centre of the tee. A second piece for front is worked, then joined with the first piece using Russian Grafting that creates a decorative seam. The back pieces are worked by picking up stitches from the side edges of the front, then working towards the centre of the tee before joining using Russian Grafting. Shoulders are joined using Mattress Stitch. Lastly, stitches are picked up and 1 x 1 Ribbing is worked in the round for the hem, armholes and neckline.
