Palm fronds stirring in the breeze. Airy, light Piper makes a deceptively warm, but weightless crescent shawl in laceweight superfine merino/super kid mohair. Beginning with a beautiful lace border motif resembling palm leaves, the body of Palmetto is then picked up along the border’s side and worked up to the neck edge, utilizing short-row shaping to form its crescent shape. The four-row repeat in the border makes this project a great introduction to true lace knitting.
