Pancake the Pigeon and friends, Dove and Nicobar Pidgeon - 10 Page PDF

Pancake has rather large extended family, with rather varied colour combinations too! but like most of our creations, they couldn’t wait to meet you all so here’s our Pigeon, Dove and Nicobar Pigeon.

This PDF includes the written instructions in US terms, with step-by-step photos detailing how to make the pieces to finish your creations. When made with DK weight yarn (sample made in Stylecraft Special DK) and a 2.0mm hook, the finished birds will measure around 20cm/8” tall.

The project can be made using any weighted yarn, just adjust the hook size to match your choice.

You’ll need to know how to:

• make a Magic Ring or a chain 2 equivalent
• work in a round
• single crochet
• double crochet
• increase/decrease
• half double crochet
• front/back loop only
• slip stitch
• puff stitch (written instruction included)

You will need the following materials:

Yarn: Stylecraft Special Dk (8ply) - Acrylic - 100g/295m/323 yards
Pancake the Pidgeon: 1 ball of each colour (you won’t need full balls): Graphite 1063, Grey 1099, Black 1002, White 1001, Midnight 1011, Proper Purple 1855, Camel 1420 and Blush 1833.

Dove: White 1001, Soft Peach 1240, Apple 1852 and Camel 1420.

Nicobar Pidgeon: Denim 1302, Midnight 1011, Apple 1852, Clementine 1853, Mustard 1823 and Blush 1833.
