Pancharangi Shawl
Pancharangi literally means ‘of five colours’. This shawl, with its richly-patterned border of colourful lace motifs and dropped stitches to mimic the fine print and embroidered look of traditional Indian textiles, uses the exact hues found in every Indian kitchen’s spice box. A delightful lace shawl in the colours of turmeric, saffron, chilli and pepper! This shawl is worked from the top down with increases at the edges. The lace pattern can be worked either from the chart or the written instructions, whichever you prefer.
