Panda Lovey (Security Blanket)
This pattern provides instructions to make a panda lovey (or security blanket), and the finished product makes the perfect gift for a baby or toddler!
The pattern calls for white and black yarn, as well as seven different yarn colours, to create a rainbow effect: a shade of dusty pink, pale orange, pale yellow, mint green, turquoise, pale blue, and lilac (this lovey was custom-made for a friend who recently gave birth to her precious ‘rainbow baby’, a beautiful baby girl…and she also loves panda bears!). However, the lovey would also look lovely in only black and white.
If following the pattern exactly, one skein (either 50 g or 100 g) of each colour is more than sufficient for this project.
Gauge is not important for this pattern.
Additional materials required are:
- darning needle
- teddy filling
