This is a snuggly baby/toddler blanket that can be unisex, or made for a boy or girl. It’s 25”x32”, but there is flexibility re. size, yarn used etc. The gauge is not super important, as you can work with measurements instead.

The colours could also be substituted to create different animals, e.g. brown for a bear, pinks or blues, or any other colours.

The pattern is suitable for confident beginners, and has lots of pictures. It’s also written in easy to follow language. It uses well known stitches, plus a slightly unusual one for the body of the blanket, which gives a lovely texture, with no holes.

I used a light worsted weight yarn (light/medium) weight 3, but you could easily use a heavier weight - the blanket will then be slightly bigger, maybe suitable for a small child

The pattern has been tested for errors, but if you’re struggling with anything, I’m here to help!

If you want the pattern, but you cannot afford it, please write to me and I will help where I can.
