Pansy cardigan is a classical raglan worked back and forth on long circular needles top-down with raglan increases. The sleeves are worked in the round on double-pointed needles or long circular needles with the magic loop technique. This pattern is so customizable depending on your preferences for length. This cardigan should be worn with 4-5.5 inches/10-14 cm in positive ease at the chest.

Cardigan sizes: 0-3 months (3-6 months) 6-12 months (12-24 months).
The sizes 0-3 months (3-6 months) 6-12 months (12-24 months) correspond to a chest measurement of approximately 14.5-16 (16-17.5) 17.5-19 (19-20.5) inches/36-40 (40-44) 44-48 (48-52) cm.

Finished approx. measurements (after blocking):
Chest circumference:
0-3 months - 20 inches/50 cm
3-6 months - 21.5 inches/54 cm
6-12 months - 23 inches/58 cm
12-24 months - 24.5 inches/62 cm

Gauge swatch (blocked):
20 stitches x 38 rows in garter stitch on U.S. 4 (3.5 mm) needles = 4x4 inches/10x10 cm.

Suggested needles:
U.S. 4 (3.5 mm) circular needles, U.S. 4 (3.5 mm) double-pointed needles (if the sleeves are not worked using the magic loop technique); or the necessary needle size to obtain gauge.

Suggested yarn:
Worsted (9 wpi) weight yarn (Wool-Merino 100%; 50g (1.76Oz) = 126 yards (115 m): 130 (160) 195 (230) g. FibraNatura Dona used.

Materials needed: 0.8 inch/2 cm buttons 4 (5) 6 (7), scissors, stitch markers, tapestry needle, measurement tape
