Paperflower Scarf
This stunning two colour brioche stitch scarf is inspired by the bracts of the bougainvillea plant. It has a leaf pattern which would show off a variegated yarn against a solid colour. The stitch pattern is reversible but not precisely the same so that the back of the scarf adds interest but has a less defined leaf pattern.
The scarf has a neat selvedge edge on both left and right to add to the finished effect.
This scarf has been both test knitted and tech edited for errors in order to ensure a pleasant knitting experience.

Wool: 2 skeins of sock yarn (400m/100g) (425 yards/100g) each, which contrast well.
Needles: 3.5 mm (US4) circular needle 40 cm or longer. Or size needed to obtain gauge
Notions:
stitch marker or cable needle
wool sewing needle
Gauge: 26 stitches and 30 rows in two colour brioche stitch are 10 cm. Although gauge is not crucial your yarn requirements may be different if you use different yarn and needles.
Finished length: 149 cm long (57 inches), 20 cm wide (8 inches)
