Inspired by the simple elegance of a folded paper boat (“Papierschiffchen” in German), this unisex hat boasts clean lines that promise to remain a classic for years to come.
When the brim is worn down, it offers a relaxed, slouchy style; folding the brim upward creates a more fitted look at the top of the hat.

This beginner-friendly HAT is quick and easy to knit, as it’s worked entirely in knit stitches.
It features an integrated folded brim with negative ease for a snug fit that will surely keep your ears warm and a two-point crown—decreased in a raglan-style fashion—for a modern silhouette.

The brim is worked with 2 strands of fingering merino yarn . Alternatively, you can substitute with one strand of a DK weight yarn (100 gr / 200 m or 219 yards), which will require half of the C1 yardage listed below).

For the body, a single strand of mohair is added to ensure the hat remains soft against the skin, avoiding any irritation around the sensitive forehead and ears. This addition lends the hat a fluffy, dense, and warm fabric overall.
