Puppus shrug is a surprisingly quick project at a very loose gauge with big size needles, constructed in completely seamless way without cutting the yarn. The combination of thin yarn and big needle gives light, transparent and airy texture to this shrug.

Body, puff sleeves and cuffs are worked flat from bottom to top as a rectangular piece, then folded in. Upper and lower edges are bound off together on each side to form sleeves and back opening. After that ribbing around the back opening is worked in the round.

This pattern has one size for body with Elbow length sleeves and 3/4 sleeves. You can adjust the size very easily. (around arm, around bust, sleeve length)

Yarn: Lace or light fingering weight yarn. The sample shrug is knitted with alpaca lace & mohair lace weight yarn held together.

Yardage: 230 / 294 m (252 /322 yds) for elbow length sleeves / 3/4 sleeves, excluding yarn for knitting swatch.

Needles: 6 mm (US 10) circular needle 100 cm (40“) or longer. Adjust needle size if necessary to get gauge.

Notions: 2 stitch markers, tapestry needle, spare needle (same size or smaller than main needle), waste yarn.

綿毛のボレロは、太い針を使って、ローゲージで、さくさくと編むパターンです。細い糸と、太い針の組み合わせで、透け感のある、とても軽い仕上がりになります。

このパターンは糸を切らずに、シームレスで編めるタイプの構造をしています。

最初に、下から上に向かって、往復編みで「身頃、パフスリーブ、カフ（袖口）」が、つながった横長の長方形を一枚編みます。編み地を上下に二つに折り畳み、右側と左側で、それぞれ、編み地の上下を一緒に伏せ止めして、袖の形と、開口部を作ります。最後に、開口部のまわりに、輪編みでリブを編んだら完成です。

毛糸：レース糸(極細)、もしくは細めの中細糸。サンプルは、モヘアのレース糸とアルパカのレース糸を引き揃えて編んでいます。

サイズ：このパターンは1サイズのみですが、袖の長さ、袖まわり、胴回りの大きさは、簡単に調節 出来ます。

袖丈：5分袖(7分袖)の編み方をパターンに載せています。

糸の量：230 (294) m

ゲージ：14目×20段 = 10 cm(ブロッキング後の往復メリヤス編み)

針：13号(6 mm)の輪針、100 cm 以上の長さのもの (ゲージに合わせて針のサイズを変 えて下さい)、予備針 (メインの針と同じか、それよりも細い針) 1本。

その他：マーカー2つ、とじ針、余り糸。
