This simple light weight cardigan is knit seamlessly from the top down with raglan shaping for the sleeves and gentle waist shaping for a flattering fit. The sample uses just one contrasting colour for the stripe pattern but you could use as many as you like - perfect for using up leftover yarn!
Sizes:
XS(S, M, L, XL)
Finished Bust Measurements:
32(36, 40, 44, 48) inches / 81(91.5, 101.5, 112, 122) cm
It is intended to be worn with approx. 2-4 inches / 5-10 cm positive ease. Choose a size that is 2-4 inches / 5-10 cm larger than your actual bust measurement.

Knit in the round (for the sleeves)

Yarn:
4 ply / Fingering weight yarn 50g/230yd skein:
Main colour (MC) x 5(6, 7, 8, 9) skeins
Contrasting colour (CC) x 1 skein
Needles & Notions:
US 2½ (3 mm) 32 inch (80 cm) circular needle and set of double pointed needles
US 4 (3.5 mm) 32 inch (80 cm) circular needle and set of double pointed needles

Waste yarn
8 Buttons (approx. 0.5 inch / 15 mm diameter)
Construction:
Stitches are cast on for the yoke which is worked flat and shaped with raglan increases. Stitches are set aside for the sleeves and the body is worked down in one piece with shaping. The sleeve stitches are then placed onto dpns and worked down in the round. Finally, stitches are picked up to work the button band.
