Parapluie Hat
Skill level: Advanced beginner.
Notions: Stitch markers, tapestry needle.
This hat was created for autumn in the Pacific Northwest. Crisp, cool, and then, inevitably, wet. During the colder months it behooves the wise and experienced to have proper headgear about at all times - something to keep the breezes out and the rain off. No time like the present, before the cold winds blow, to prepare.
Parapluie - French for ‘umbrella’ - hopes to be just that hat for you (since natives here know that use of an actual umbrella is strictly for the weak and uninitiated). Its warm brim keeps the draft out of your ears, and the whimsical raindrop body declaims to all that you are going to have your fun, no matter the weather! A pom-pom is optional, but it does give it that certain je ne sais quoi.
