Parasaurolophus
This pattern is for a parasaurolophus, written in US crochet terms. It is advanced beginner skill level. There are no complicated stitches but the amount of shaping and the short rows in the head crest may make this pattern too complicated for a beginner, though I have made a video tutorial for this part which is linked to in the pattern. You will need to be able to work in a continuous spiral, increase, decrease, make a magic ring or loop and use stitch markers. You can use any yarn type you wish, just make sure you use an appropriate hook size for the yarn you choose so that the stuffing does not show through. The examples were made using Stylecraft Special DK weight yarn and a 3.25mm hook. I also used 10mm safety eyes though you can embroider these if you prefer. Each sample used 60g of DK weight yarn in the main colour and scraps for the beak and crest along with a small amount of black for the mouth and nostrils. They measure 34cm from beak to tail.
You are welcome to sell any dinosaurs made from my pattern.
This pattern has been thoroughly tested, many thanks to all the testers for their assistance.
