Parasaurolophus (from Dinosaurs and More!)
This pattern is part of my new upcoming collection: Dinosaurs and More! inspired by my 3 yr old daughter’s ongoing LOVE of dinos.
Parasaurolophus was a hadrosaur who lived in the late cretaceous period in what is now North America. Parasaurolophus could walk on 2 legs useful for running away from scary predators or on all 4 legs when grazing for food. Parasaurolophus had a ridged spine, and “duck bill” with a long crest which may or may not have been attached to the back of the head. This crest was a matter of many scientific musings many of which were dismissed such as “snorkel” and “air resevoir”. It is now believed it may have been used for visual display, sound amplification and thermoregulation.
This pattern is written in US English. Parasaurolophus pattern features a beautiful crest, 3 toed hind feet, 4 fingered front feet/hands, a long tail and ridged spine.
