Parasol
Parasol is a crescent shaped shawl with a playful twist on decorative eyelets. It’s worked from the top down in garter stitch with just one skein of fingering weight yarn. And no purling!
You begin from the neck with garter stitch and eyelet stripes, alternating the placement of eyelets on opposite sides of the vertical midpoint. Finally, you finish the shawl with a simple yet beautiful lace border.
YARN
One skein of Malabrigo Yarn Sock (100% merino wool; 402 m / 440 yds per 100 g). Show in colour Turner.
Or approximately 400 m / 437 yds of similar fingering weight yarn.
NEEDLES
Size 4 mm / US 6 needles or size to obtain pattern gauge
This shawl is worked flat, but I recommend using 80-100 cm / 32-40 inch circular needles to accommodate the growing number of stitches.
