This lightweight cowl is perfect as a layering piece to wear in Spring or Autumn. It is knitted in the round and starts with a row of little parasols around the lower edge to wear on the shoulders, that gradually merge into rib to narrow the fabric towards the neck. There is no shaping as such - the construction does all the work.

You will need only one skein of Fyberspates Scrumptious 4ply - if you wish you could just keep on knitting until you run out of yarn.

If you are using a different yarn to the one suggested, you will need approx 275(345,400)m in 4ply or fingering weight yarn.

The original design (published in Knit Now magazine) was written for only one size. The individual PDF gives 3 sizes (Small, Medium and Large). The original garment shown on the model would be the Large size. The other size shown is Small.

This design uses Stitchmastery charts.
