Parisette
Parisette (Paris quadrifolia), also known as herb-paris or lover’s knot, occurs in shady places of old wood.
It inspires me the design of this double breasted baby sweater whose pattern recalls the plant bearing its fruit.
Parisette is worked in one piece from the bottom up to the armholes where work is split. Then back and fronts are worked separately. Stitches are picked up around the armholes to work the sleeves in the round from the top down. The sides’ bands and the neckband are worked with the body as you go, except the back neckband, which is worked sideway and closed by grafting.
