With its satisfyingly intricate geometric cable pattern and areas of negative space, the Parterre Scarf evokes the puzzle-like arrangement of flower beds in formal gardens. The pattern includes two width options. Pair it with the coordinating Parterre Hat for a classic gender neutral set.

Skills & Techniques
The Long Tail Cast On (optional), working in pattern, and working four-stitch cables. Both charts and full written instructions are provided.

Materials Needed
4 (6) skeins of Hedgehog Fibres Tweedy (50% Falkland Merino Wool, 37.5% Recycled Wool, 12.5% Thread Waste; 252 yds/230m per 100g skein), or
994 (1325) yds/909 (1212)m of DK weight yarn.
Sample shown in the colour ‘Amethyst’.

Note: for the wider option you will only need a small amount of the 6th skein. You may be able to knit this size using only 5 skeins, and you can reduce the length if necessary.

You will also need a cable needle, and a tapestry needle for weaving in the ends.

Finished Measurements
Relaxed after blocking:
88”/224cm length and 10.25 (13.75)”/26 (35)cm width.

Shown in narrower width option (10.25”/26cm).
